Braver You know that telling the whole world that you don’t believe in god is going to, you know, have people say, “Oh my goodness, you know, that’s a terrible thing for him to say!”.
Roth When the whole world doesn’t believe in god, it’ll be a great place.

Philip Roth No, non c’è traccia di religione dentro di me.

Roth No.
Braver Perciò, non pensa che ci sia un dio là fuori?
Roth Temo che non ci sia, no.
Braver Lo sa che, sentendole dire che non crede in dio, un mucchio di gente dirà: “oddio, che cosa orribile da dire, da parte sua!”.
Roth Quando il mondo intero non crederà in dio, sarà un posto meraviglioso.
